Roti King: A Malaysian delight

When you have to fulfil those cravings... Malaysian food seems to be my thing at the moment and there is nowhere better than a tiny room being served legitimate Malay food. Even the experience reminds me of Malaysia; cramped table sharing, busy environment yet everyone is respectful and just here for a good time.

The food... what would you choose to start, the classic roti canai or one of the special murtabaks?

Perhaps an even more important choice, what would you choose for your mains? We went for the Nasi Lemak, a fragrant coconutty rice matched with samba, ikan bilis, peanuts, a boiled egg and fried chicken, a twist on the traditional dish of Malaysia. Alongside this we opted for the kari laksa: noodles in a coconut curry broth with seafood and chicken.

If you’re ever curious with Malaysian food and want to try it out, in couldn’t get more authentic at Roti King. Situated outside London Euston station and well worth queueing up for.
