With a maintenance wash due it makes sense to check out Amplify's range in order, starting with your typical pre-wash ritual; Snow Foam. Typically I could do a maintenance wash without this type of pre-wash as it would mean I don't need a pressure washer of some kind to create the foam, however for this blog post, out comes my prehistoric Kärcher along with some adapters to make the trigger and snow foam lance connect up.
Amplify's Snow Foam definitely foams up well. With the correct settings on the lance, this pre-wash has a good amount of cling allowing you to go over more hard to penetrate areas with detailing brushes (such as Amplify's Ultra Soft Brush set).
For ceramic coated vehicles, I could potentially see this as your in-between maintenance wash on its own. However as I'm not a baller, I'll use Amplify's Snow Foam as its intended purpose to lift dirt and grime off the exterior surface ahead of contact washing.
It's safe to use on waxes, sealants and coatings (for peace of mind!).
Directions on using the Amplify Snow Foam:
1. Rinse vehicle well with water to loosen dirt.
2. Fill foam lance with 100 – 150ml of product and fill remainder with water.
3. The fun part: Foam the car!
4. Leave it to dwell for up to 5 minutes.
5. Rinse using your pressure washer or a hose.
Handy tips:
- Use warm water for added foaminess.
- Agitate hard to wash areas with Amplify's Ultra Soft Brushes whilst the foam is dwelling.
- Do not let the product dry on surface, don't be that guy.
It's always fun to snow foam during a wash routine but it can get messy. It's rather straight-forward with Amplify's one though; it does exactly what its set out to do, no fuss no bother and for that, I simply can't fault it. If you have a pressure washer and snow foam lance at home, this should totally be in your armoury.
